Inside The Hungarian GP 2022

Welcome back to Tayla Talks, let’s have a look inside the Hungarian Grand Prix before the cars are out on track!

This weekend the paddock are heading to the Hungaroring. A beautiful circuit of 4.381km with fourteen corners and one single DRS detection zone. The first ever Grand Prix in Hungary took place in 1986!

The lap record is currently held by Lewis Hamilton (37) with a smooth 1:16.627 from 2020.

But what can we expect for this weekend?

We have our normal three free practice sessions and our normal qualifying format, and finally 70 laps across a 306.63km race distance on Sunday – at 11pm AEST.

It’s an incredible track that will undoubtedly bring non-stop action across the weekend, especially between the two top drivers fighting for the championship; Max Verstappen (24) and Charles Leclerc (24). An interesting weekend after an unfortunate mishap for the young Monegasque last weekend in France.

As the biggest topic right now is Sebastian Vettel’s (35) retirement at the end of the season, I’m sure we’re still in for a full on weekend of racing, jam packed with reminders of the past and excite ent of the future.

So, what are your Hungary 2022 predictions? Leave them in the comments!

Until next time,
