Heads turn as 17 year-old Australian Senna Agius hits the Moto2 grid! A lot of excitement surrounding the rookie as he makes his way into the pack with Elf Marc VDS Racing Team.
Agius, originating from Sydney, will be paired with the #8 bike for the next few races starting from the Austrian Grand Prix. A major asset to the team, with the teen replacing Sam Lowes after an injury from his unfortunate shunt in FP1 at Silverstone.
Young Agius previously completed the Asia Talent Cup and Junior World Championship. Before these two career championships, he was developing his skills across dirt tracks and motocross.
His participation in the European Moto2 Series has shown great potential. The PromoRacing Team impressed with the level of talent he rides with on his Kalex machine.
His best ranking sitting at 14 from last season according to FIM!
Definitely a fair assumption to say the rookie will bring a lot to the team in the coming races while Lowes recovers with rehabilitation assistance.
It’s a fantastic era to be following as an Australian motorsport enthusiast, some athletes from down under making their way through a variety of paddocks across the world.
Best of Luck Senna Agius!
Until next time,
