Sophia Flörsch Breaking Barriers In F3

Formula 3 has had history written over the weekend in Belgium as the paddock battled it out at Spa-Francorchamps.

Sophie Flörsch (22) has become the very first female racing driver to ever score points in Formula 3.

The German, Alpine academy racing driver has shown incredible strengths over the weekend in both the F3 feature race and sprint race.

Flörsch came from p24 all the way to p7 in the feature race, wowing the crowds and commentators at the incredible history making moment; becoming the first female to gain points in the series.

She went out and charged through the field again in the sprint race, going from p24 to p12, confirming her talent and success over the weekend at the Belgian Grand Prix.

The historic track was met with more history, a positive movement forward for women all around the world.

Flörsch has done some wonderful things before returning to Formula 3; including her time in the European Le Mans Series, 24 Hours of Le Mans – LMP2, and the FIA World Endurance Championship – LMP2.

After this mind blowing achievement and overall move for women in motorsport, she is definitely going to continue to charge down barriers and records.
