Jack Riches, 22, is one of four drivers for the 21 Red Racing team located in NSW, Australia.
Sponsorship is incredibly important in motorsport, without it, teams and drivers simply would not be able to go forward with events and track days.
Volunteering is what grassroots are all about, building a unique community of like minded people with the same passions and motivations.
21 Red Racing started with Jack and his Dad, Aaron Riches, after Jack had completed his HSC and went into the workforce. The passion for racing was always there, with Jack previously into two-wheeled motocross bikes at competitive levels of fun.
Sponsors have enabled Jack and the team to continue getting the car out on track, helping them find the financial pockets needed to go racing, whilst also helping the sponsors in return with their own businesses.
Sponsors for Jack and the team consist of Impressive Print Solutions, ProSpeed, PHEASANT WOOD CIRCUIT, Lakehaven Mufflers, Allan Ross Mechanical, Browns Automotive, and Bucko Fibreglass Repairs; these businesses all equally help 21 Red Racing get out on track and have some fun.
Jack insists it’s important to give back to the local businesses that help he and the team compete in various different races throughout the year.
Even with supply chain issues and financing being the main hurdles to overcome, the team still persevere and competively races with exceptional sportsmanship.
Perfecting a driving style takes time, and whilst Jack hasn’t taken the most common step into racing, he has found his groove in the cockpit, becoming one with his vehicle.
Having respect, a great amount of seat time, and being mindful of other competitors has been the perfect recipe to make perfecting Jack’s driving style on the track.
“Being friends with everyone helps” Jack said when asked about what makes things easier out on track.
Jack is more than happy to point people in the right direction if they too are starting their racing journey much like he did.
When asked if he would do anything differently if given the chance to redo his journey, he had a simple but honest answer.
“Ask for more advice. I would’ve taken it more easier in the rain” Jack smiled cheekily.
“I also would have purchased less at the start and spent more time at the track” Jack said.
If you”d like to follow Jack and the team, check out the 21 Red Racing Instagram page and stay up to date with their latest results and events.
Tayla Talks would like to thank Jack Riches for his time and wish 21 Red Racing a successful 2024 season.
Until next time,
Tayla Talks ❤
