The full scheduled draw for the NRLW Telstra Women’s Premiership can be found here!

12 teams will be featuring in the NRLW season in 2025, making it the biggest competition the Telstra Women’s Premiership has seen in its history – and now that trial games have been completed, each team are gearing up for the season start next week. Just like the Men’s games, for the first time ever, a NRLW Magic Round will be held in Round 5 of the competition, which begins on Thursday, 3rd of July.

NRL CEO, Andrew Abdo, has been on record at the end of 2024, expressing the excitement surrounding the new progression of NRLW’s expansion.

“The 12-team competition, now including the Bulldogs and the Warriors, will be the biggest in NRLW history. The addition of the NRLW Magic Round will be a unique opportunity for fans to see all the players and teams together in Newcastle in Round 5, and the extended finals series will add another dimension to the competition.

“We have some of the best female athletes on the planet and they’ll now be showcasing themselves in the best women’s competition in Australia and now New Zealand.

“The competition takes huge strides every year and I have no doubt that the eighth NRLW Premiership will be the best yet.” said Abdo to NRL media.

The NRLW Telstra Women’s Premiership will feature some incredible milestones, including all games being available for fans to watch and support on channels Nine Network, Fox Sports, and Kayo Sports.

All 12 clubs have 5 home fixtures, making the teams and players more accessible to fans, especially since all clubs in the Telstra Women’s Premiership will feature in at least one NRL-NRLW double header, giving ample time for fans of Rugby League to gain interest in the women’s teams and players.

The excitement doesn’t just end there, 18 of the 33 NRL-NRLW double headers feature the same teams in both fixtures. This means teams of each NRL Men’s Telstra Premiership will be able to rally behind their female sport superstars, growing the NRLW in numbers for support.

With the footy-madness hitting mid-winter, it gets even better with the NRLW Telstra Women’s Premiership being showcased with three scheduled prime time matches, giving NRL fans even more footy to watch and get enthusiastic over.
